We need business, civic, and community members to serve as mentors and/or panel evaluators for the Senior Projects completed by the students at East Greenwich High School.
As a mentor, your role is to guide a student toward the successful completion of a Senior Project. You may:
- offer advice and redirection on the focus of the minimum of 15 hours of fieldwork the student completes independently,
- suggest or provide sources for the research paper,
- listen to and provide feedback on the student’s practice speech, and
- complete the evaluation form and verify the time log associated with the student’s fieldwork.
As a Senior Project
panel evaluator, you will hear and evaluate the culminating presentations of five (5) or six (6) seniors. Each presentation is approximately 8-12 minutes in length, with a five-minute question and answer period. The time commitment to serve as a panel evaluator, including training, will not exceed four (4) hours.
